Charles Ligon McWhorter 1904-1987

Born in Watkinsville, Oconee County, Georgia, the son of John Welby McWhorter and Eva Douglas Zuber. He was married in 1925 to Gladys Clarke Eavenson. In 1937 he moved his family to Winder, Georgia where he operated an insurance agency during the time of the Depression. Charles was instrumental in organizing the Winder Touchdown Club and kept it going for fifteen years.
