Henry Young (Jung) 1829-1874

Born in Saxony in the Duchy of Saxe Meiningen, Germany, he came to America in 1852. He was married in 1860 to Magdelena Iltis and they settled in Chaska, Minnesota where he began a grocery business that he expanded to include toys, clothing, hardware and furniture. His other ventures included a lumberyard, brick factory, brewery, and exporting goods via the Minnesota River.
