Mary Elizabeth  was born 6 December 1849, died 01 February 1896 in Lauraville, Maryland. Her father was John List (emigrated from Germany) and her mother was Catherine Bing.

She was married in 1868 to Frederick Schwartz.  Their daughter, Rosa Anna Schwartz married Malcolm Otis Seckinger, Sr.
