Fillingim family

Mary McWhorter "Grannie" Milner b.1845, the family matriarch is the older lady standing tall, center. Her brothers were both killed in the Civil War and the letters they wrote to her from the University of Georgia in Athens and on the battlefield are now housed in the rare manuscripts part of the UGA library.
