Ethel Dorothy Goodine 1893-1970

Ethel was born December 16, 1893 in the town of Forest Lake, Minnesota, the daughter of Alexander Mathew Goodine and Anna Adelia Koch.

Her diary states that she started work at Webb Publishing Company in May 1922 and moved to B. Nealis on Dayton Avenue in September 1924 where she stayed until August of 1930. Moved to Clara Brooten in August 1930 and remained until May 1932. She moved to Leitners September 1933 after traveling to the World's Fair and later visiting in Indiana for a week.

On December 1, 1933 she moved to Eugene C. Young's home at 2251 Knapp Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota. She moved with the Youngs to 2235 Hillside Avenue on May 15, 1937.

In May of 1941 Ethel (known as Ahoo to the children) moved with the Youngs to 849 Clemont Drive NE, Atlanta, Georgia. She worked with Nation Wide Employment Bureau from September of 1941 until September 15, 1943 when she took the position of cash clerk at Hardware Mutual Insurance Company. There she remained until her retirement December 31, 1961.
