Grandfather Hugh McKenzie

Hugh McKenzie was born in Nairnshire Scotland 28 Jul 1813-1893 Jan 7 the son of Robert McKenzie and Anne Sinclair. Hugh came to America in 1832, with his brother Robert, to Rochester NY and then to Monroe County, Michigan.

Hugh was married to Elizabeth Heritage who was born in Worchestershire on March 2, 1817, the daughter of Richard Heritage and Johanna Braginton. Her father brought her to Monroe County in 1834 when she was about 17 years of age.
