John Jackson and Amelia L. McKenzie with four daughters

Amelia L McKenzie, born in Monroe County, Michigan, the sister of Clark Henry B McKenzie.

Amelia was born 1 January 1837 the daughter of Hugh McKenzie and Elizabeth Heritage. She was married 19 June 1856 to John Jackson who was born in England in 1832 and died 14 October 1911. Amelia died 25 March 1921. Carolyn Brandow (a daughter) was listed as the only survivor of her mother in 1921.

The following children were listed in 1870 census Joanna (Anna) 13, Mary 11, Margaret (Maggie) 9, Emma 7, Caroline 5, Lydia 3, twins John and Josephine 1 month.
