Earl Thorn, cousin of Hugh McKenzie

Earl Thorn is listed as the seventh of eleven children of Charles Arthur Thorn and Alda (Aldie)(Alwilda) Clark.

Alda was born in 1861 in Monroe County, Michigan, the daughter of Watson David Clark and Elizabeth Trace who moved to Monroe County, Michigan from Crawford, Pennsylvania in about 1849.

Alda was married 1 September 1878 in Flat Rock, Wayne County, Michigan to Charles Arthur Thorn, who was the son of John C. Thorn and Elizabeth Walters of New York State.

Elizabeth's father was William Walters whose widow died in 1904 at age sixty-seven.
