Joe Seals Armentrout

Joe was born in 1891, reared in Ashburn, Georgia and went to Ruskin Cave Automotive School in Tennessee in 1905.

He began his career in the automotive field as a taxicab driver in Atlanta. Later he was employed at the Boomershine Pontiac Agency in Atlanta as a troubleshooter for Pontiac. Joe traveled the south east to assist other mechanics less knowledgeable in the repair of automobiles. During WWI he taught women how to be mechanics.

Joe was married in 1917 to Virginia Louise Fillingim. Their children were: Frank Seals and Lyla Medora Armentrout.
