Born October 18, 1898, died February 11, 1964

Clara, who was blind since childhood,  grew up in Macon, Georgia in the Hepzabeth Home (an orphanage) with a brother, Worth Yarbrough who was blind also.

Clara attended the Georgia Academy for the Blind and graduated in 1928. This is where she met her husband Michael Makenzie Spinks. They were married that same year 1928.

Their three children were: Henry Dallas III, Clara Lillian, and Juliet Parmalee Spinks.
