J. C. Willcox ferries three cars over at Lumber City in the 1920s.
The boat beside the ferry was there as a safety measure to make you feel
safe when out in the middle of the river.
In the background can be seen the superstructure of the Southern Railroad
Bridge across the Ocmulgee River.
Please note the riverboat "B.C. Phillips" moored mid -stream just behind
the ferry.
