Minnie Lourine McWhorter 1896-1967

Minnie Lourine McWhorter was born in Trion, Georgia, the fourth of ten children of John Welby McWhorter and Eva Douglas Zuber.

She graduated from Georgia Normal and Industrial College and worked in the office of the Winder News with her father and with the newspaper office in Miami. She taught school in Trion, Summerville, and Soperton, Georgia and returned to Winder, Georgia when she retired.

Her retirement years were spent doing research on the family and the first publication of the McWhorter family history was the result of her labors.
