Lucien Manuel, Hiram Jacobs, Hiram Brewington, Weldon Gordon, and Purse Strickland (not necessarily in that order) hanging from the gallows. They had been convicted of various murders committed in Montgomery County earlier that year.

The man with his hand on the lever is probably Sheriff George W. Dunham.
