Bridget, christened 29 May 1755 Westbury, Wiltshire, England, was the daughter of Philip Withers and Bridget Gibbs. She was  married 28 October 1777 Westbury, Wiltshire, England to Richard Lowther.

On March 13, 1784 Richard Lowther of London, wrote a letter to his wife's uncle, Richard Gibbs, Jr., introducing himself and announcing the birth of their sixth child named Elizabeth.
