Robert Arthur Manke 1906-1998

Robert (Bob) Manke was born May 11, 1906 the son of August Adolph Manke and Pansy Roberts.

Bob worked for the Hardware Mutual Insurance Company of Minnesota as branch manager in St. Paul, Minnesota and later as manager of the office in Cincinnati, Ohio until his retirement.

He was married May 9, 1932 to Lucie Marie Cheyney who was the daughter of Edward Gheen Cheyney and Harriet Frances Porter.

Their three children were Robert Gheen, Richard Cheyney and Susan Virginia Manke. Their adopted fourth daughter was Beverly Jean Swan.
