John Welby McWhorter 1866-1944

John studied for the ministry and was ordained a minister of the Baptist faith in 1897. He studied law and was admitted to the bar.

He taught school, served as Superintendent of the Oconee County Schools, and was president of the Vidalia, Georgia Board of Education.
