Herman came from Sweden to the United States in April, 1882. He was married to Susanna Abrahamson. 

Pictured here are their two children: Holman Glover Sandholm 1893-1984 (on the left, 6 years old) and Eleaonora Sandholm 1891-? (went by Nora).
