Born in what is now Darien, New York on June 5 1818. Mayflower descendant.

In 1844 he married Calpernia Narcissa Gilman. After the death of Calpernia, on October 20, 1850 he married Sarah C. Marvin.

Died in Alden, New York on August 24, 1891.  Father of 10 children. Buried in Clarence, NY Cemetery.
