On her 80th birthday.
She was the daughter of Reuben King Walker and Lydia Caroline Quarterman.

She was married in 1895 to Rev. William Salter Porter Sr who was the son of Richard Gibbs Porter and Mary Salter Tibbits.

Their ten children were: Mary, Reuben, Leila, Richard, William, Julia, Rodman, Helen, Thomas, and Roswell.
